A story of two high-tech entrepreneurs-James Stone is mature and highly successful, Timothy O'Neill is young but highly ambitious. O'Neill works for Stone but he also regards him as a friend and mentor. As the story progresses Stone suffers an agonizing decline in fortune and mental stability. In several respects Stone is responsible for his own fate, but many of his associates prove to be evil contributors to his downfall. O'Neill attempts to stabilize Stone but to no avail. Meanwhile O'Neill has independently conceived a brilliant new product. Frustrated with Stone's decline, he strikes out on his own. He receives unexpected but vital assistance from a beautiful Eurasian girl, Heather Cartwright. Through his total commitment to the development of his start-up venture, and fortuitous timing, O'Neill becomes remarkably successful after only two years. Stone, meanwhile, has undertaken a program of deadly vengeance. George Pierce has pursued a career in the formation and development of high technology start-ups since his graduation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In all he has founded six enterprises of which he has functioned as the chief executive and chief financial officer. Two of these businesses became publiclyowned and two were acquired by Fortune 500 companies. Since retirement from business management, Mr. Pierce has become an active on-line trader of stocks and options. Justifiable Vengeance is his first novel. This work will be followed by a sequel entitled Unjustifiable Greed. He and his family, including three dogs, reside in Florida and in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.
