Excerpt from In the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit: The Los Angeles University (a Corporation), The College Oil Company (a Corporation), And Richard Green, Appellants, Vs, Ernest A. Swarth and August Swarth, Appellees, Transcript of Record Know all men by these presents, that C. F. A. Last and Thomas Hughes are held and firmly bound unto the above-named defendants in the sum of one thousand dol lars, to the payment of which, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our and each of our heirs, executors, and administrators. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas Ernest A. Swarth and August Swarth, com plainants above named, having filed on the Chancery side of the above-named court a bill against said defendants, and having obtained an allowance of injunction as pray ed for in said bill by said Court: Now, if the said complainants shall abide the decision Of said Court and pay all moneys and costs which shall be adjudged against them in case the said injunction shall be dissolved, then these presents shall be void.
