The freedom and independence'of the French nation, I be lieved to be intimately connected with the liberty of mankind, and all their moil valuable interells. Impre¿ions, unfavourable to this caufe, had been made on the minds of many. This particular impre¿ion, to the di'fadvantage of the French revolulion, drawn from the contemplation of prophecy, I hoped to be able altogether to craie, whilll at the Tame t1me lavas'happy being able to circulate ideas of an oppofite ftendency.
