The shaping of National Security is always dependent on the underlying framework conditions, which have a significant bearing on a state's actions. The framework that applies to a state's definition of National Security and its implications on foreign and security policy is determined by its geographic, geostrategic and economic situation, its integration and co-operation with worldwide trading and other industrialized nations and its membership to international and supranational organisations, out of which international obligations arise.
