Excerpt from History of Staffordshire, 1894, Vol. 15 The Sixteenth Annual Meeting of the Society was held at the William Salt Library, Stafford, on the l6th October, 1894, the Right Hon. The Lord Wrottesley in the Chair. There were also present: major-general Edmund Manningham Buller, Major General the Hon. George Wrottesley, the Rev. W. Beresford, the Rev. F. P. Parker, the Rev. Edward Salt, and Messrs. W. S. Brough, W. F. Carter, J os. Naylor, and F. C. Perry. The minutes Of the previous meeting having been read, Lord Wrottesley adverted to the loss of members by death or resignation, and the state of the Balance Sheet, which owing to certain casual and temporary expenses, Showed a deficit of £35. He also read a brief summary of the work of the Society Since its formation in 1879. He then called on the Honorary Secretary to read the Report of the Editorial Committee, which was as follows.
