[Most Important: Being Healthy! Jesus, the Coronavirus and the Health Society]How can God and the coronavirus be thought together? And what challenges does the church face in and after the pandemic in the health society? To answer these questions, the first part analyzes our society as a "health society" while drawing on sociological findings. In the second part, drawing on the Gospel of Mark, Jesus is depicted as healer, saviour and liberator, and a holistic concept of health is developed from a systematic and theological perspective. In the third part, God's action in the pandemic is interpreted on the one hand as the action of the "hidden God". On the other hand, it recalls the tasks of the church. The church should reproach God, yet also appear as a champion of a holistic concept of health by looking to Jesus the healer, saviour and liberator. Guilt and death are likewise discussed, along with the political dimensions of health.
