Diana, Billy's on-again, off-again sweetheart, joins the search for the truth as well, as does the legendary 442nd Regimental Combat Team, a unit made up of entirely Nisei soldiers which went on to become the most highly-decorated unit in the history of the Army. With as much sacrifice as betrayal afoot, Billy isn't sure whom he can trust. Can he and Kaz keep Stewart safe . . . and not die in the process?
