Every year, Louise Belmont makes a sentimental pilgrimage to the top of Mont Ste-Anne near her small Québec village of Percé on the Gaspé Peninsula. It's a special place. It's where her beloved late husband Luc proposed many years ago. For Louise now though, it's all about her children, their spouses and her visiting six-year-old grandson Michel. She has no thoughts of romance. So when she meets the distinguished but lost tourist Laurence Bradford on the mountain top, she gives him directions, has a friendly visit and thinks little more of it.
