Excerpt from Foreign Crops and Markets, Vol. 38: May 13, 1939The 464 million bushels of wheat harvested last year by the Danubian countries resulted largely from extraordinarily high yields per acre, which are not likely to be repeated this season. Wheat production in the Basin during the 5 years 1930 to 1934 averaged 812 million bush els, from which an average of about 89 million bushels entered export trade.
