A cautionary tale of a year-long journey taken by our fourty-year-old, main character, Ray Bradley, observed through his experiences and thoughts. Starting from a 'mundain normality' we experience the chance events that find him questioning who he has become and what he wants from the rest of his life. We are introduced to other characters who influence his thoughts and actions and we discover how the past experiences of not only Ray, but also those close to him, end up having a profound effect on the decisions he takes. Ray could be your husband/partner. Outwardly content with his lot until, for the first time in his life, he is faced with these new choices. Throughout the story, the reader becomes the Judge and Jury constantly being invited to take sides and ask the question: "would you or your partner have done that?". In the end, Ray has to make the ultimate choice. Would you have made the same one?
