Mark Morton and his reluctant sixteen year old son, Danny, share a Palm Springs motel for several days. They are there for family week at a rehab center where Gwen, Mark's wife and Danny's mother is trying to recover from severe alcoholism. While Mark has great hopes for Gwen's recovery, Danny has none.
