Excerpt from First Annual Report of the State Geologist: Read in the House of Representatives, December 22, 1836The Governor, who has examined the report, authorizes me to state, that he concurs in bespeaking the favorable attention of the general assembly to that part of it, which relates to an increase in the number of Assistant Geologists. The soundest prudence dictates that all necessary facility shall be afforded to this important underta king.
