I take great pride in having been impressed with something very obvious and introducing a bill for statuary for the House pediment which had been overlooked for over half a century, and am also glad I was able to help in securing services of Mr. Bartlett. I congratulate you that you are about to unveil what I think is the finest large statuary group in America. If I had known earlier of the unveiling, I should have come to Washington to witness it.
