Excerpt from Examination of Water for Sanitary and Technical PurposesIN the period that has elapsed since the publication of the first edition Of this work, many processes for water analysis have been proposed, and we have included in the present revision such of these as seem to us of substantial value. In particular we may mention the methods recom mended by the Chemical Section of the American Associa tion for the Advancement of Science, and the application of the Kjeldahl process to the determination of the organic nitrogen.
