The aim of this investigation was to study: (1) The positive effect of AM fungi under different levels of compost on growth, yield, chemical content of maize and sunflower under calcareous soil condition. (2) The suitable quantity of mineral nitrogen fertilizer for the two hosts in the presence of AM fungi and different levels of compost in order to decrease mineral fertilization and chemical pollution.
