»The System Responsibility of the Transmission System Operators in the German >Electricity Market 2.0<« The security of the energy supply constitutes a fundamental social issue. In Germany, the four big transmission system operators (TSO) are entrusted with the prevention of dangers for the safety and reliability of the electricity supply system. This doctoral thesis analyses the new challenges for TSOs, which arise in the course of the liberalization and the transformation of the German energy system, often referred to as »electricity market 2.0«. It also addresses the special measures the TSOs may use to fulfil their system responsibility and investigates the related aspects of constitutional law.
