Nancy B. Fritts has devoted much of her life to studying and protecting animals. At one time, she was a state/federal rehabber, being bitten by creatures from alligators to eagles. She was one of the founders of the 200th chapter of the National Audubon Society, covering five counties. As of this writing, she maintains a wildlife refuge.Nancy has lectured at Stephen F. Austin College and done television programs, always advocating the care of the universe. Nancy has written a weekly column for five papers and published a monthly, then quarterly, newsletter that covered the globe. She is the author of a successful pet care book on using herbs and natural means for healing, and Minerals: the Rainbow Connection on meditation and healing.Born in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, Nancy was raised in Miami Beach, Florida, and educated at Miss Harris' Florida School for Girls and the University of Miami. She has lived in Houston County approximately forty years.
