Tim grew up on an Exmoor farm where an early memory was the harsh winter of 1962/3, when a helicopter was the only way of rescuing a neighbour who had broken his leg.
After university in Kent, a summer job assisting on a course for Mexican students led to a career in teaching, which has enabled him to live in several places, work in a variety of schools and publish a couple of text books.
He now lives on The Quantock Hills in Somerset with his wife and an almost spaniel. This is his first collection of poems.

I fell in love with Tim Scott's poetry at a writing group and, again, when I heard him reading his work on the radio.
His writing bristles with honesty and humour.
Each poem whispers in your ear about our shared human experience with wit, warmth and a heaped spoonful of irreverence.
This book is certain to be a pick-me-up for everyone who loves Ayckbourn, Coward, and who feels the need for some refreshing British humour in these troubled times... Judy Leigh, author of The Age of Misadventure
