Metz, Comptroller to Commissioners of the Sinking Fund, 1907-1908In late years when the holder of such a parcel has sought to borrow on his land, question has been raised by title companies and other conveyancers as to the ownership of the old roads. After such objection it became customary to file a petition with the Commissioners of the Sinking Fund reciting that the City had no substantial interest in the road but might have some right which would constitute a cloud on the title to the property.
