Excerpt from Class Catalogue of Current Serial Digests and Indexes of the Literature of Pure and Applied Science Exhibited at the Liverpool Meeting of the Library Association, September 2 6, 1912The following Catalogue forms an appendix to a paper prepared by the undersigned writers for the Liverpool Meeting of the Library Association, and a class-list of the serial publications there exhibited. The object of the Catalogue is to indicate those periodicals which profess, by means of abstracts or index references, to record the out put of the press in so far as it relates to their specific provinces. Such information, presented succinctly and revised periodically, should form part and parcel of the bibliographical equipment of every librarian, but at present no publication exactly covers this ground. If, therefore, a favourable reception is accorded to this experiment it may be possible to arrange for the periodical publica tion of a handbook on similar lines, but comprising all branches of literature.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
