Excerpt from Caroline Park House and Roystoun Castle: A Descriptive and Historical AccountRoline park house, now occupied by the offices of Messrs A. B. Fleming Company, Limited, is. Situated in the parish of Cramond, Midlothian, in a wooded park about three-quarters of a mile to the west of Granton Harbour, and about three miles north-west from Princes Street, Edinburgh. The house appears to have been built in 1685 by George, Viscount Tarbat, of whose career and family something will be said latef on. It is quadrangular in' form, and measures 117 feet from north to south by 90 feet from east to west, the open courtyard being 45 feet by 38.
