Sallusti Crispi: De Coniuratione Catilinae Et De Bello Iugurthino, Libri Ex Historiarum Libris Quinque Deperditis Orationes Et EpistulaeWas die Erklärung anbetrit, so musste ich mich leider einigemal an das abfällige Urtheil erinnern, welches F. Ritschl (rhein. Mus. XXI. S. 316 ff.) über alle Commentare zum Sallust und daneben über alle Commentatoren, einen einzigen ausgenommen, gesprochen hat. Dasselbe enthält ja, obgleich es in der Ausdrucksweise viel zu hart ist, natürlich auch ent schieden Zutreffendes, und diesem unterwerfe ich mich bc reitwillig.
