Atheism is Untenable
BücherAngebote / Angebote:
Realizing that in the never-ending debate between theists and atheists and the merits of each side's respective position, there is no shortage of (Christian) apologists who already work diligently to defend religious doctrine and to reconcile perceived scriptural issues, rather than doing this, Kevin Berger has taken a unique tact by Atheism Is Untenable, in which he demonstrate that if one applies the same degree of skepticism to atheism as to any other proposition, it becomes unsustainable, as atheism (across its spectrum) requires that one who dismisses one claim ostensibly due to insufficient evidence instead accept some other claim despite there being insufficient to warrant its acceptance--exposing this alternative claim as a special pleading and the position as logically inconsistent. The purpose of Untenable, unlike that of apologetics, is not to advance or defend theism or religion, but to demonstrate that skeptical atheism crumbles beneath its own weight through the application of polemics and skepticism.
