Shortly after a 4th of July gala, an outbreak occurs in a small east Texas town. Cameron Nickels, a former ER doctor turned deputy, begins researching what could be causing the outbreak and discovers that the Anopheles mosquito is spreading a mutated HIV virus. During the struggle to illuminate the truth, an outbreak is declared and a cover-up begins.
