Excerpt from Annual Reports Number of the Wellesley College Bulletin, Vol. 37: September, 1947On May 12 the Department of Botany held a Garden Day which proved to be a great success. Invitations were extended to the neighboring garden clubs and resulted in an attendance of about one hundred and seventy. A small fee was charged which included luncheon, a series of lectures by members Of our botany and biology staff, and trips through the greenhouses and gardens.
