Excerpt from Annual Reports Number of the Wellesley College Bulletin, Vol. 31: October, 1941It is interesting to note that the Class Of 1943 shows its superior calibre as a sophomore class even as it did at the end Of its fresh man year. In June, 1941, the committee voted to drop six members Of the Class Of 1942, nine members Of 1943, and fourteen members Of 1944, making a total Of twenty-nine. The compara tive figures for 1940 are: fifteen members Of 1941, thirteen of 1942, and fourteen Of 1944 with a total Of forty-two. There is another factor which it is hoped plays a part in reducing the number Of students to be dropped for academic reasons. This is the consistent effort on the part Of the deans to refer students to the college psychiatrist in time for them to receive constructive help or to persuade them to withdraw from college voluntarily if the chances for success seem very dubious.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
