Excerpt from An Etymological Analysis of Latin Verbs: For the Use of Schools and CollegesOne more term, which we shall have occasion to use, 'must be explained. In aaa'z're, aua'e' is the crude form, aad is at once the root and the verb-root, but in sane, the verb-root of sanez're, we find a letter (a) which doesnot'appear in the root sae. This a (saw) may be compared with the n in eine-ere, tang-ere, pang-ere, pang - ere, &c., About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
