Excerpt from An Ephemeris of Materia Medica, Pharmacy, Therapeutics and Collateral Information, Vol. 2: January, 1884 This pamphlet is not published regularly, but only as time and material may admit, and, therefore, as its issue may at any time be interrupted or be discontinued altogether, it has no subscription list nor price. It is sent without cost to any one who applies for it, and at random to others who are supposed to be especially interested in its subjects and objects, who have not applied for it, and therefore it must reach some who are not especially interested in it. Under these circumstances it will be cheerfully sent to all who think it worth applying for, and a great favor will be conferred by those who are not especially interested in its matter if they will give notice to discontinue. The inquiries for these pamphlets have been unexpectedly numerous, and to supply those who wanted them, some of the earlier numbers have been reprinted more than once. And now the inquiry for the complete volume is such, that in order to supply it, five more numbers have had to be reprinted and the volume bound at a considerable expense. Therefore, anyone who in future wants Volume I. can have it sent to him by mail, bound in cloth, on remitting by postal note or money order, one dollar for the book and sixteen cents for postage. Money should not be sent by mail. New names sent for entry upon the distributing list have heretofore been supplied with all the back numbers unbound, but in future, should the issuing of the pamphlets be continued, only the numbers of the current volume can be sent, unless the remittance of $1.16 be received with the application.
