Excerpt from A Study of Youth Needs and Services in Dallas, Texas, Vol. 2It was this pattern of life and its effect upon Negro youth that we attempted to study through the same devices of personal, confidential in terview, investigation of resources, and observation of group life used in the other phases of the Study. It was felt wise to employ Negro workers for both the personal interviews and the collection of other es sential information. Fortunately, we were able to employ as staff members two women, of long residence in Dallas, and with training and experience both as public school teachers and social case workers.
