The Accidence is treated more fully than the Syntax, because, when the forms of the language are once mastered, the syntax presents few difficulties to the learner, these difficulties consisting chie¿y in the arrangement of the words into sentences according as these latter are either principal or subordinate sentences, or according to the words with which a sentence begins.
