When the drfcredit of Mercury became thus general, other Methods were.introduced which had' been little praéiifed till that Time, but their Want of Efficacy being foon acknowledged, the Ufe of Met cury was eliablished on its former Footing they ufed it with more Precaution, and with more Succefs for by diminishing the Bofes, they leffened the Hazard of its Application and abated the Violence of its Effects.
