The chapel was finished and consecrated in 1812, and Mr. Breckenridge was duly installed as its pastor, and con tinned in the discharge of its duties in an acceptable manner-until September, 1817, when, being admon ished by advancing years and feeble health that he should rest from his labors, he tendered his resignation of the charge, which however was not accepted until the following May.
