Foushee has been active in the Association during-two different eras. As Pastor of East Sanford Baptist Church from 1963 to 1977. During that time he served several terms as the Evangelism Director, several terms as Training Union Director, member of the Associational Missmnary Search Committee, and two terms as moderator. After retirement, Brother Garland returned home and is an active member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. He is active in supply preaching as well as having served the Association as Pastoral Ministries Director, Associate Sunday School Director and member of the Executive Board.
