This volume is drawn from six book: Echolocation (2003), Salt (2001), The Last Beach (2000), Living Shadows (1997), Catapult Season (1992) and Wingspan (1987), covering a writing period of nearly twenty years, the collection reveals the evolution in Rao's style, and the persisting themes of love and impermanence. Mani Rao was born in India in 1965, and moved to Hong Kong in 1993.
